Jose Trull

Jose Trull is an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He completed his PhD thesis in the Nonlinear Dynamics, Nonlinear Optics and Lasers Group of the UPC. Before joining the UPC he worked at the Optical Institute of the National research council CSIC in the group of material processing and optical memories. After finishing his PhD, Dr. Trull performed a two-years stay at Insubria University at Como (Italy) working in the Nonlinear optics group of professor P. Di Trapani. Jose Trull has been an active researcher in the field of nonlinear optics for more than 20 years. His research interests include the study of nonlinear optical processes in photonic crystal and structured materials, control of spatio-temporal properties of light waves and implementation of characterization techniques of ultrashort optical pulses, nonlinear optical processes in materials with a random distribution of the nonlinearity. Jose Trull is coauthor of more than 50 publications in international journals, has participated in roughly 25 financed research projects, and has presented his work in more than 60 national and international conferences and workshops.
