Alejandro Turpin, former student of the master, awarded Premio Justiniano Casas and Premio Enrique Fuentes Quintana
The Comité de Técnicas de la Imagen (Sedoptica) has awarded a former student of our master the PREMIO JUSTINIANO CASAS DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN IMAGEN ÓPTICA sponsored by LASING S.A. The First Prize of this sixth edition has been awarded to Dr. Alejandro Turpín Avilés for the work related to his doctoral thesis entitled "Conical Refraction: Fundamentals and Applications", directed by Dr. Jordi Mompart Penina at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which was also awarded by the Premio Enrique Fuentes Quintana. The official award ceremony will be held within the commemorative events of the 50th anniversary of SEDOPTICA, which will take place on Friday, July 6, at 1:30 p.m. at the Jaume I University of Castelló, as part of the celebration of the Reunión Nacional de Óptica 2018.
