Entangled quantum memories for a quantum repeater: A step closer to the Quantum Internet - ICFO

A team of ICFO researchers belonging to the group leaded by Prof. Hugues de Riedmatten (professor of the Master in Photonics) report in Nature on having achieved, for the first time, entanglement of two multimode quantum memories located in different labs separated by 10 meters, and heralded by a photon at the telecommunication wavelength. One of the members of the team, Dario Lago is a former student of the Master in Photonics. Congratulations to all of them!
